Sherwin-Williams completes acquisition of ICA Group

With the announcement of the close of acquisition, we are excited to have joined The Sherwin-Williams Company


ICA is now part of Sherwin-Williams Industrial Wood Division in the Performance Coatings Group operating segment. The combination of our businesses provides opportunities to accelerate growth in the region and beyond. Founded in 1866, Sherwin-Williams is a global leader in the paints and coatings industry, supplying a broad range of highly engineered solutions in more than 120 countries. A widely respected brand, Sherwin-Williams comes with an unparalleled distribution network, commercial organization, world-class R&D and broad access to diverse markets and customers.

The Paniccia family identified The Sherwin-Williams Company with the main purpose of ensuring the company’s growth plans, preserving an industry-leading brand and continuing to invest in employee growth and development. In this transaction, all international operations of the ICA Group have been acquired, including ICA’s interest in the India-based joint-venture, ICA Pidilite.

Sherwin-Williams and ICA offer highly complementary product offerings and together will provide an even greater portfolio of solutions to customers. Sherwin-Williams will position ICA to continue global excellence in wood coatings and drive cutting-edge product research and development, while building upon the company’s heritage and values.
